Maryanne Gore interviews two of the charities raising funds in the Canberra Day appeal, firstly, The One Box, which delivers boxes of healthy fruit, vegetables and bread, through Canberra schools to families suffering food insecurity, and secondly, Good Omen Goodeze, a knitting/crochet craft group which meets to foster social inclusion for its members while producing comfort items like blankets and soft toys that are distributed to hospitals, walk in clinics and the ACT Ambulance service.
